About Me

I earned a BFA from MICA majoring in General Fine Art. I have always had an interest and ability in realistic drawing and sculpting. Nineteen years and counting, that’s how long I’ve been teaching art to children! I currently teach in Bais Yaakov of Passaic and Yeshiva K’tana Passaic. During summer, I lead the Camp Shalom fine art specialty division. I have been giving private art lessons in Passaic since 2006. Please look at the work my students produce - it’s completely their own work.

Teaching Experience

High School Art Teacher

I have been teaching foundational studio art for 13 years. I enjoy demystifying the Elements of Art and Principles of Design in a sophisticated way, empowering students to experiment with and ultimately employ with command the Elements of Art. With surprise and joy, students achieve artistic expression, a high level of craftsmanship, and discovery.

Summer Camp Art Teacher

This specialty summer program is an intensive, one or two-month immersion into Fine Arts at the upper grades school level. Thematic exploration and variation in the artwork prevail with the depth of 8-10 hours a week of art-making. Campers develop their drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture skills in a studio environment.

Elementary School Teacher

I am a licensed NJ teacher in Art K-12 and General Education K-6. I have taught 3rd grade since 2012. I love the creativity involved in reaching many different learners across a variety of subjects. I illuminate the connections between different subjects and between classroom learning and life. With my growth mindset, I love teaching and find it fulfilling.
